Privacy Policy
Game data stays on your device
Puzzle progress and settings stay on your device. The game has no developer account, cloud save, or separate online gameplay analytics service. In version 0.7.0, Google advertising, consent, and billing services process data as described below. We do not operate a server that receives your gameplay save.
Progress and settings
Completed and skipped levels, your current level, unlocked levels, hints viewed, language, music, sound, and vibration preferences are saved in the app's local storage so you can continue playing. A local backup helps recover an interrupted save. These files remain on your device; Android cloud backup is disabled for the app.
Motion and permissions
Some puzzles use acceleration and gravity readings to detect shaking, tilting, or turning the phone upside down. These readings are processed temporarily on the device and are not saved or transmitted as motion history. Vibration is optional in Settings. The game uses internet/network access for ads, consent, and purchases, and the advertising SDK includes advertising ID and Android ad-services permissions. It does not request camera, microphone, contacts, photo-library, or precise-location access; Google may infer approximate location from your IP address.
Rewarded advertising
Google AdMob (GMA Next-Gen SDK) provides optional rewarded ads. Each newly unlocked hint requires a completed rewarded ad unless you own ad-free hints; previously earned hints can be reread without ads, and skipping a level is free. When used, the SDK automatically collects and shares IP addresses (which can indicate approximate location), app/ad interactions, diagnostic information, Android advertising ID, app set ID, and applicable device/account identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. We do not send local puzzle-save files or sensor readings to the ad SDK. Google may process data internationally under its policies.
Privacy choices
Before requesting ads, Google User Messaging Platform checks applicable consent requirements and displays a consent message where required. Where available, open Settings > Privacy policy > Ad privacy choices to revisit your selection. Consent preferences are stored by the SDK and processed by Google to apply your choices. Android system Settings lets you reset or delete your advertising ID. You can continue playing and skip levels without watching ads. Ad availability depends on network and consent status.
Purchases
Google Play Billing processes the optional one-time non-consumable ad-free hints purchase (remove_ads_forever). Google handles checkout, payment details, and its transaction records. The game receives product, price, purchase status, and purchase-token information to acknowledge and restore entitlement, and caches confirmed entitlement locally. We do not receive your payment-card details or run a payment server. Purchasing unlocks direct access to every hint without rewarded ads; it does not upload or back up level progress. Restore purchases uses your Google Play account.
Developer-issued access
A developer-issued access code can grant ad-free hints without a purchase. The code is checked on the device; only a local authorization marker is saved, not the entered code. This marker is not sent to us or Google, and no purchase record is created. Authorization remains until disabled in the access screen or app storage is cleared. Previously obtained hints remain part of local progress. This does not remove a genuine Google Play purchase.
Diagnostics
The game itself processes level interactions locally; test builds may write local troubleshooting logs. The advertising SDK separately sends app/SDK performance and diagnostic information to Google, including information about startup, hangs, and energy usage. No separate remote crash-reporting SDK is included.
Retention, deletion, and security
Local progress, settings, save backups, and cached purchase entitlement remain until app storage is cleared or the game is uninstalled. On Android, select the app in system Settings, then Storage and Clear data. This cannot restore deleted progress. A permanent purchase can be restored through the same Google Play account. Clearing game storage does not delete Google purchase records or data already processed by Google. Google controls retention and deletion for its services under its policies. SDK data is encrypted in transit using TLS. We do not operate a game account server. Contact us about information you sent directly to support.
Contacting support
If you choose to email Jocelyn, we receive your email address, your message, and any attachments you send. We use these only to respond to your request, resolve issues, and meet applicable legal obligations. Email is handled by our email provider, Gmail. Please avoid sending passwords or unnecessary personal information. Support messages are retained only as long as needed for those purposes. You can contact seansheaton@gmail.com to request access, correction, or deletion of information you sent us, subject to applicable legal requirements.
Children's privacy
Advertising services may process device and usage data as explained above. We do not ask players to submit their name, birth date, or contact details in the game. Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided personal information to us through support can contact seansheaton@gmail.com to request deletion. Google service privacy controls also apply to data processed by Google.
This website and external services
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages without added analytics scripts, advertising, cookies, or forms. GitHub may process IP addresses and request logs to provide and secure hosting under its privacy statement.
