Your world stays yours.

Living World is designed without a developer-operated account system, advertising network, analytics SDK, or app backend. This policy explains the limited data used for weather, optional AI creation, and Google Play subscriptions.

The short version

No developer account

You do not create an account with us, and we do not operate a server that stores your profile or creations.

Location is optional

Approximate location is used only after you enable automatic weather and grant permission.

AI is your choice

AI prompts go only to the HTTPS provider you configure. Your API keys remain encrypted on your device.

No ads or tracking

The app does not include advertising or analytics SDKs and does not sell personal data.

Approximate location & weather

If you turn on automatic weather, Android supplies an approximate location. The app rounds the coordinates to two decimal places and sends them over HTTPS to WeatherAPI to request current conditions. The response may include a nearby place name, weather conditions, and observation time.

Purpose: Adapt the wallpaper to local weather.
On-device retention: Last coordinates and weather response remain cached until you clear weather data or uninstall the app.
Your control: Disable automatic weather, revoke location permission, or use “Clear location & weather data” in the app.

OPTIONAL

AI prompts, settings & generated images

The Open World feature works only after you enter a compatible HTTPS provider, models, and API key. Confirmed descriptions and recent creation dialogue are sent to that provider. Images returned by the provider are downloaded to your device. Imported photos are processed locally and are not sent to an AI provider unless you deliberately include their information in a prompt.

Purpose: Refine a scene description and generate a wallpaper you requested.
On-device retention: Provider settings and keys are encrypted with Android Keystore and excluded from cloud backup. Drafts and creations remain until removed or the app is uninstalled.
Your control: You choose the provider and can clear its configuration or remove creations. Provider-side retention is governed by the provider you selected.

SERVICE

Google Play subscription information

Purchases are processed by Google Play. The app checks product, purchase, acknowledgement, and entitlement status through Google Play Billing and stores only a local access level and last-check time. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

Purpose: Activate paid world limits and restore purchases.
On-device retention: Local entitlement status remains until app data is cleared or the app is uninstalled; Google applies its own retention policy.
Your control: Manage or cancel subscriptions in Google Play.

LOCAL ONLY

App settings & creative files

Scene choices, animation settings, imported photos, drafts, and generated wallpapers are stored on your device. Photos and AI data are excluded from cloud backup. Depending on Android backup settings, limited non-sensitive preferences may be included in a device backup managed by the operating system.

Purpose: Remember your wallpaper and app preferences.
Sharing: Not shared by us. Export happens only when you choose a destination through Android’s system file picker.
Your control: Reset settings, remove creations, clear app data, or uninstall the app.

When data leaves your device

We do not sell personal data. Data leaves your device only to provide a feature you choose:

WeatherAPI receives an approximate coordinate and request metadata when automatic weather is enabled.
Your AI provider receives the prompts, recent creation context, model names, and API credentials needed for your request.
Google Play handles subscription purchases and may process device, account, and transaction information under Google’s policies.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Choose an AI provider only after reviewing its practices.

Security & retention

Network requests use HTTPS. AI credentials are encrypted at rest using a key held by Android Keystore. Sensitive app files and weather caches are excluded from cloud backup. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we limit data use to the features described here.

The developer does not keep a server-side copy because Living World has no developer-operated backend. On-device data remains until you use the available controls, clear app data, or uninstall. Third parties set their own retention periods.

Your choices & deletion

You can use manual weather without location, deny or revoke location access in Android Settings, clear cached weather data, clear AI credentials, remove custom worlds, manage subscriptions in Google Play, or delete all local app data by uninstalling.

Children’s privacy

Living World is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in their country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through a third-party service used with the app, contact that provider and us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app’s features or legal requirements change. The latest version will remain at this URL, with a revised effective date. Material changes will be communicated in the app or store listing when appropriate.
